The Quigley Bi-face-
         An Outstanding Clovis
                  Artifact

This huge Clovis platter was found in the early 1900's
by a youngster in Larimer Co. Colorado, near the town
of Loveland.
The artifact is made of Ogalala Quartzite, and has
some sand polish from laying exposed. It has no
modern damage, and has been well cared for in the
100 years since it was recovered.
This piece is a paleo tool-kit. It served as a
scraper, knife, cleaver and core. The core provided
large, sharp flakes for tools and points.
