David Walley,
inventor of the IR
Raman technology
used by Breckinridge
Artifact Services, llc.,
works with Dr.
Gramly and Dr.
Bruce Bourque of the
Maine State Museum
in this photo taken
early September,
2008.
This purported Rune stone was one of many
objects Mr. Walley examined at the request of the
Museum.
An over the shoulder view of a spectrographic
examination. Careful attention to sampling
procedures is important.
Another shot of Dr. Gramly and Dr. Bourque, Curator of
Archaeology at the Maine State Museum, closely observing
Mr. Walley. Mr. Walley's invention promises to enrich
archeology in many ways, including the removal of bogus
items from reference collections.
