I received this book as a gift, and I was all prepared to
hate it. There are so many Indians and the Dinosaurs
type books, starting with Lost World in the early 1900's.
I was smug and scornful, and quite unprepared for this
factual, scholarly look at the way Native Americans have
interpreted the fossil record. This is an excellent book
written by a true scholar. I can't recommend it enough!
